Great shadow of a one I love,
cast upon the sand,
cast upon the sea,
simultaneously.
Don’t always think she knows me,
but she does.
She sees right through layers of melanin and adipose straight through to the incessantly beating muscle
and even further through …
straight to my very constellation;
Within that there are thoughts and things, feelings in motion, emotion, orbiting one another creating faceted colors depending on which way the light hits,
which way the music hits,
which way the love hits.
It whirls chaotic and random as it is organized and beautiful.
The sand.
The sea.
The sea lapping the sand.
The sand supporting the sea.
Layers upon layers rock and lava and into the iron core, me thinks, but it might be hollow too?
Kind of like the way I feel without you.
