Dream babies are my dreams, my thoughts, my art or captures that have gestated. This presentation gives birth to them and you reading them gives them new life.
The creations have meaning in my mind and heart, when you consume them they undergo a chemical reaction with your existence and become a new culmination of my musings and your heartbeats. They will take on your meanings and I hope they do.
This is a very raw and vulnerable undertaking. Like musicians, poets and artists must crack open and explain what they see while they are looking down into themselves and all around. It’s strange. I’ve had to embrace that imparting my visions is strange at times and at other times it’s seen as beautiful.
I want you to embrace your strangeness. Embrace your you-ness for we are all sparks of the great “all that is”, thus you are a facet of the great whole. I’ve always enjoyed artists and poets the few who dared to venture just a tad off the path. I’ve been this way since I was small. My Dad and I have our own language in a sense of humor that is just a tad off, or if you ask me, clever and creative.
Like what you like. Laugh at what tickles you. Cry at what moves you.
It is my hope that my embracing my strangeness and wafting it in the air for all to see will give you license to do the same. For it is very important that we do and it requires bravery to expose it in a society that asks us to follow certain thought trends and patterns. Sameness. There is no sense in sameness. Companies look for visionaries to lead. Some value a four-leaf clover which is scientifically strange, it doesn’t fit in the Fibonacci sequence, it’s an anomaly. I think a split between the two front teeth is pretty, society doesn’t.
Let’s differ. Let’s agree to value ourselves and the beautiful oddities of our minds that make our hearts giggle on the inside and sometimes cry. Value your whims, they are your children, these are mine, my dream babies.
